Privacy policy

G2 Companion Go by Aurora Glance, an app for Even Realities G2 glasses. Last updated 22 September 2026.

This app is made, sold and run by Anthony Waters, trading as Aurora Glance, a sole trader in the UK (the "seller"). This page explains what information the app uses, why, and who else sees it. Questions: the email address on your receipt.

In short

We don't sell your data, show adverts or track you.
We never receive your card details, and we don't keep buyers' names or email addresses. The only emails we keep are ones people give us for the launch list, until the launch message is sent.
Your notifications are kept for at most 24 hours, only so your glasses can show them.

What the app uses, and why

Licence. When you activate, your licence key is checked with our shop, Lemon Squeezy. We keep the licence and order numbers and a scrambled (hashed) copy of the app code we give your phone, so the app keeps working and so a refunded licence can be switched off. We don't keep the key itself, your name or your email.

Notifications (network permission). If you set up MacroDroid, it sends the app name, title and text of your texts, WhatsApp messages, emails and calendar reminders to our server so your glasses can show them. They are kept in a store that only your app code can read, for at most 24 hours (the newest 50 only), then deleted.

Location (location permission). Used to find nearby places and petrol prices and for the weather, only when those are fetched. It is not stored with anything that identifies you. To share work between users, results are kept for up to a day against a rounded area (about 1 km for places, about 10 km for weather), not against you.

News. The address of the news feed you choose is saved on your phone and sent to our server to fetch the headlines.

Usage counts. We count how many requests each licence makes per day, only to apply fair-use limits. The counts are replaced every day.

Launch list. If you ask to be told when the app launches, we keep your email address only to send you that one message, then delete it. It is never shared or used for anything else. Email us any time to have it removed sooner.

Microphone. The current version does not use the microphone.

Who else is involved

Lemon Squeezy sells the app for us and handles payment, VAT and receipts. Their own privacy policy covers what you give them when you buy.
Cloudflare runs our server (in data centres which may be outside the UK).
OpenStreetMap map data service and MET Norway weather service receive only a rounded position.
UK Government Fuel Finder provides petrol prices; nothing about you is sent to it.
The news website you choose is contacted by our server, not by your phone.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Email the email address on your receipt with your order number. Deleting your data switches off your licence's notification store; you can activate again later.

Safety

G2 Companion Go is not for use while driving. In the UK it is illegal to use a device in a way that distracts you from the road.

If this policy changes, the new version will be on this page with a new date.
